Garage Doors

Garage doors are more than just conveniences of the modern suburban lifestyle. Garage doors offer security, safety and practicality, and there's nothing modern about something that the Romans used to store their chariots. We have added some modern design elements since then.

Garage doors are also a big investment. You want to make sure you’re making a wise decision on which type or brand of garage door you want. Every home is different, and the right garage door that fits your house’s aesthetics or needs is out there for you.

The most common garage doors come in four different types:

Steel Garage Doors

By far the most popular garage door type, today's steel doors are virtually maintenance free. They come in seven standard colors (custom colors are available); offer a variety of insulation and window options and look and perform well in most applications.

Wood Garage Doors

A description of any wood door must start with the need for maintenance. Protection from moisture before installation by finishing with a good quality primer, paint or stain is critical to the life of any exterior wood product. That being said, no other door material offers the size and design flexibility, the sharp detail, the ability to cut and fit according to job conditions, or the look and feel of wood. Some models we offer in paint grade plywood surfaces or hemlock raised panel surface or Western Red Cedar that can be stained or painted to match your home for an exact custom look.

Composite Garage Doors

Steich Overhead composite doors provide a valuable answer for homeowners who want an alternative to wood or steel. They are energy efficient and have a wood grain texture. The Wayne Dalton composite door Model 9800 has been magnificently engineered by Wayne-Dalton with an artfully molded wood-grain fiberglass surface concealing durable steel construction. It's energy efficient, quiet, safe and a beautiful design complement to your home. The 9800 is the industry gold standard.

Aluminum & Vinyl Garage Doors

Aluminum doors are very easy to maintain due to the components used to make the doors, which help to prevent rust, pitting and other types of deterioration. Also, aluminum doors look stylish without ever needing to be painted, and damaged areas can be replaced in sections, meaning there is no need to replace the entire door.

Vinyl garage doors are a good choice economically; They won't rust, fade, crack, or dent. It is the ultimate door for easy-care living. Vinyl doors require little to no maintenance or painting but yet are still very stylish. Vinyl frames have welded corners which make them air tight and therefore very energy efficient. This type of door is recommended for coastal regions for its resistance to salt air and sand. The construction and materials of vinyl garage doors also provide dramatic noise reduction.
